Privacy Policy

Kajai is built to respect you. There is no account and no login, your progress stays on your device, and the one thing the app does show, optional ads, is described plainly below.

The short version

  • The app (Kajai for iOS) has no account, no login, and no analytics SDK of our own. Your progress is stored on your device. It shows sparing interstitial ads and optional, player-initiated rewarded ads through Liftoff Monetize; a one-time Remove Ads purchase removes interstitials permanently.
  • This website (kajai.app) uses Plausible Analytics: cookieless, no personal data, no cross-site tracking; aggregate metrics only.
  • This website sets no cookies and needs no consent banner. In the app, where the law requires it (EEA/UK), Liftoff is responsible for asking for ad consent before the first ad plays.

The app: Kajai for iOS

The app collects no personal data for itself: no account, no analytics SDK of our own, and nothing is ever sold. The sections below describe all the data the app touches: local storage on your device, Apple's Game Center and App Store services, Liftoff Monetize for the optional ads, and Sentry for crash diagnostics.

Information stored on your device

Kajai saves your progress, statistics, settings, and your in-progress game locally on your device (using the operating system's standard local storage). This data stays on your device and is removed if you delete the app.

Game Center

If you choose to use leaderboards and achievements, Kajai uses Apple's Game Center. Game Center is operated by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. Your Game Center identity and scores are handled by Apple, not by Didstopia. You can play the entire game without signing in to Game Center.

Purchases

Optional in-app purchases (such as Remove Ads) are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles payment and billing; Didstopia does not receive or store your payment information.

Advertising

Kajai shows two kinds of ads. Sparing interstitials: never mid-game, never in the Daily Challenge, and never in your first session. And rewarded ads that only play because you chose to tap one (a rescue bomb or a revive). There are no loot boxes, no gacha, and no energy systems.

Ads are served by Liftoff Monetize (Liftoff Mobile, Inc., whose ad SDK and exchange carry the Vungle name). When the app requests an ad, Liftoff receives standard ad-serving data from your device: your IP address (used for approximate location), device and app information, your device's advertising identifier if you have allowed tracking, and how you interact with the ad. This data is used to serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud. Kajai asks Liftoff to treat every player as under 13, so ad content is chosen by context, such as the app and your approximate region. If you allow tracking, Liftoff also uses your advertising identifier to select and measure ads. See Liftoff's Privacy Policy for how Liftoff handles this data.

You stay in control:

  • Consent first. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Liftoff is responsible for showing its own consent dialog before the first ad plays and for remembering your answer.
  • Tracking is opt-in. iOS asks once, through Apple's tracking prompt, whether the app may share your advertising identifier with Liftoff. Decline and everything still works.
  • Child-safe ad content. Kajai is configured with Liftoff's child-directed content settings, so ad content is filtered for a general audience, matching the app's 4+ age rating.
  • Privacy-preserving attribution. Install attribution uses Apple's SKAdNetwork and AdAttributionKit, which are designed not to identify you.
  • Remove Ads. A one-time purchase removes interstitial ads permanently, and the rewarded perks are granted without watching an ad.

Crash reporting

To keep the app stable, Kajai uses Sentry, a crash-reporting tool. When the app crashes or hits an error, Sentry receives diagnostic data: the error and its stack trace, your device model, the operating-system and app version, and a short trail of the in-app actions that led up to it. This contains no personal data; your IP address is not attached, and the data is used only to find and fix bugs, never for advertising, analytics, or tracking.

Data controller: Didstopia. Data processor: Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry), which processes the diagnostic data under its data-processing agreement; see Sentry's Privacy Policy. You are not asked to consent, because crash reporting relies on our legitimate interest in a stable app and involves no personal data or tracking.

To understand how the site is used, kajai.app uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly, open-source analytics tool. It is:

  • Cookieless. No cookies are stored on your device, and no consent banner is required.
  • Free of personal data. No personal data and no persistent identifiers are collected, and you are not tracked across sites or over time.
  • Aggregate only. Plausible records anonymous, aggregate metrics: page views, referral sources, device/browser type, and country-level location derived without storing your IP address.

Alongside page views, the site records a small set of anonymous, aggregate custom events to gauge engagement: an App Store click (including which on-page placement was used) and reaching the features section. None of these contain personal data.

Data controller: Didstopia (the site owner). Data processor: Plausible Insights OÜ, which operates Plausible Analytics. Plausible is hosted in the European Union and is designed to comply with the GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive (PECR); see Plausible's data policy. Because no cookies and no personal data are used, no cookie-consent banner is shown.

Children

Kajai is suitable for a general audience (rated 4+) and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. There is no account and no chat. Ad content is filtered for a general audience and is chosen by context. Declining the tracking prompt stops your advertising identifier being shared at all.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws you have rights over your personal data, including access, correction, deletion, and objection. In practice Didstopia holds almost nothing to exercise them against: the app's data lives on your device (deleting the app erases it), and the website's analytics are anonymous aggregates. For data handled by Apple (Game Center, purchases), Liftoff (ads), or Sentry (crash diagnostics), the links above lead to their privacy controls; for anything else, email us and we will help. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Finland, the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman).

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
